Company, chocolate and a big ol' choo choo

Possibly the highlight of Essi's trip - a custom made chocolate bar

More adventures, more joy.  We had church in the campervan Sunday morning:  Psalms, Hymns, the Doxology and Prayer.  It was nice.  While we were camped in Gettysburg, Rhiannon and Shaun drove up from Washington D.C. and spent their Sunday with us.

Shaun and Rhiannon, sharing their Sunday
We all cozied into the camper van and spent the day chatting and catching up: Jerry, Marsha, Rhiannon, Shaun, Frodo and Essi.  It was indeed cozy, and it was such a treat to get that precious uninterrupted time with them.  We had pizza delivered.  How cool is that?  We can't get delivery anything at home.  Rhiannon surprised us with cupcakes.  Scratch cupcakes.  Flavored with pandan.  (Did I spell that right?)  Delicious and moist.  And she left them for our trip!  Don't tell her, but we had cupcakes for breakfast on Monday morning.  whoa-yummmm....

Two platters of cupcakes... thank you, Rhiannon!
We departed the Lincoln highway on Monday and drove up to Hershey, Pennsylvania, because... well... chocolate.  Hershey (the company) has developed a visitor center with a variety of experiences, chocolate-related.  We chose the tour that showed us how Hershey creates their chocolate products.  We rode that one twice... and not just because they gave out fun-size Hershey bars at the end.  Then we enjoyed a candy-bar-making experience.  We created our custom bars as they moved through the process of melted chocolate, fillings, cooling, cover-creation, packaging, quality control, and distribution.  Essi was pretty excited to get her own Hershey bar.

There may or may not have been a stolen kiss on the "tour" ride
We're so grateful for generous retail and commercial hosts who welcome rv folks.  We can park for the night, free of charge.  Boondocking is not a hardship in our well-equipped camper van.  Thank you, Cracker Barrel of Lancaster PA!

Tuesday morning we found a Panera, so I could join my online Bible Study Fellowship discussion group.  I was so glad not to miss this week.  We'd read several chapters in Proverbs, and I knew my gals would have insightful thoughts and wisdom.

We drove around Lancaster County (strongly Amish country) and found a train-collector's display that was pretty amazing.  Apparently the guy who built it isn't Amish, right?  Jerry is still planning to set up his own train display, with his vintage Lionel trains.  I do hope it's not a big as the one we saw today! haha

We spent a couple hours enjoying this massive set-up.

More adventures ahead.  We never know what might arise, but we're ready!

p.s.  In case you're wondering, Frodo is traveling like a champ. Whew
