November 6 & 7, 2022
We stayed overnight, boondocking in a pull-off along the coast. The Sunday traffic thinned out, the rain started, and we slept well. An early start the next morning, just in case it bothered someone that we'd spent the night there. (We purposely didn't pick a pretty spot or anything.) I made a jazzy sign that read, "We're not camping. We're just resting. We'll be gone by daybreak." Sadly, no one saw it. I've saved it for another time. :-)

this speaks my language

Essi loves it, too
daybreak's pastels
some people tuck their homes into the hills, above the winding road
some people perch on the cliffs, below the winding road
doing laundry will always remind me of this
silly Essi - just can't stop posing
looking south, into the sun
same, on down the road - looking north with the sun behind us
more sky in the water
in and out of the sea mists
I'd like to live in a lighthouse
suddenly, it began looking like this - we headed inland

Good-bye, California 1. Thanks.
